Welcome to the 2018 Wild, Wild West Tour to Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, and Illinois.
We are on the road again and posted photos and updates from each days' events on our Facebook Group. The Band will be touring and playing from Camp Belzer to the Boyhood Home of Mark Twain, Pony Express Museum, Jesse James Home, Upon arrival back and Camp Belzer we will be playing in the 100th Year Celebration of Camp Chank-tun-ungi. The Tour started on June 23rd and will last through June 30th, 2018!
Here is our Itinerary for this Tour:
Day One - Saturday, June 23rd at Mark Twain Boyhood Home
We will meet on June 24th at 8:00 am at Camp Belzer to load the our Tour Bus for the trip. We will take our Departure Group Photo and be on our way. This was mostly a travel day with a sack lunch stop somewhere in a rest stop on the way to Hannibal, Missouri. We are scheduled to arrive Hannibal, Missouri to tour Mark Twain's Boyhood Home. We plan to play a concert at 3:30 pm, then board the "Mark Twain" paddle wheeler boat for a dinner cruise.
Day Two - Sunday, June 24th with Pony Express and Jesse James
The second day, we leave from the Best Western in Hannibal, Missouri and travel to St. Joseph, Missouri to visit and tour the Pony Express Museum, the Jesse James House, and the Patee House. Later in the afternoon we will play a concert in the Blue Room at the Patee House. In the evening we will find dinner and stay at the Hampton Inn.
Day Three - Monday, June 25th at Boys Town
The third day has us traveling to Omaha, Nebraska to visit Boys Town. This includes an exclusive lunch in the cafeteria at Boys Town. We will play a concert for Boys Town patrons around 3:30 pm. Later we find dinner in Omaha and stay overnight at the Town Place Suites.
Day Four - Tuesday, June 26th at Stuhr Museum and Camp Augustine
On the fourth day we travel to Grand Island, Nebraska to tour the Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer. Lunch is nearby in Grand Island. Later in the evening we will travel out to Camp Augustine Boy Scout Camp where dinner will be provided, then we will play a concert around 7:00 pm. The overnight stay will be our laudry night at the Holiday Inn Express in Grand Island.
Day Five - Wednesday, June 27th at Dogde City
The fifth day finds us traveling to Dodge City, Kansas to visit historic Dodge City. Lunch will be along the way as we will arrive in Dodge City area around 1:30 pm. We will play a concert in the afternoon with dinner to follow and the overnight at Hampton Inn & Suites.
Day Six - Thursday, June 28th at WWII Museum and Memorial
On the sixth day we will travel to Kansas City, Missouri to visit the National WWII Museum and Memorial. with Dinner in the evening and overnight stay at Fairfield Inn.
Day Seven - Friday, June 29th at Gateyway to the West Arch
The seventh day finds us traveling to St. Louis, Missouri to visit and tour the Gateway Arch. We hope to play a concert in the afternoon in the Gateway Arch area. Later is dinner and the overnight at Drury Inn in Collensville, Illinois.
Day Eight - Saturday, June 30th returning "Back Home Again in Indiana" and return to Camp Belzer.
The final day we will travel "Back Home Again in Indiana" and arrive at Camp Belzer in time to play and evening concert in celebration of 100 years of Camp Chank-Tun-Ungi.
